Combining the powerful Isaac Watts text with the lovely English tune FOREST GREEN, this hymn concertato is accessible for even a small children's choir. The first stanza is sung in unison, followed by a second stanza where each melodic phrase is split between Part I and Part II. On the third stanza, the congregation sings the melody while the choir adds a simple descant. A separate congregation part may be duplicated for worship bulletins. The set of reproducible instrumental parts includes music for flute, oboe, and handbells. Appropriate for festivals or general use.
