CGB1423 Spirits Lifted, Peace Bestowed (Joy and Reflection) (3-6 Octaves)
Description
Cathy's latest original composition Spirits Lifted, Peace Bestowed, subtitled Joy and Reflection, opens with a bright, fanfare‑like LV introduction in 3/4, leading into a soaring treble melody supported by a driving, malleted accompaniment. Optional handchimes introduce a contrasting new theme in the battery, alternating with expressive counterpoint in the upper treble bells. A reverent middle section—enhanced by echo technique—portrays joy giving way to reflection. The piece returns to the opening material in a slower, majestic style, building to a strong, grand conclusion. Compatible editions for 2–3 and 3–6 octaves (very 4‑octave friendly) make it an excellent choice for festivals.
