This handbell arrangement of Get on Board, Little Children is based on Greg Gilpin's spirited and fun choral setting of the spiritual. In the handbell arrangement, the accompaniment makes extensive use of bells malleted on the table while the melody is rung above. A train whistle is optional, but adds much fun to the arrangement. There is a key change in the middle, but it shouldn't cause any "train wrecks!" The 3 octave version is as musically satisfying as the 4 and 5 octave versions. Ringers of all ages will enjoy this lively piece.
