Sing of Colors uses the Mexican folk song De Colores, charmingly paried with the English translation of the same song. It may be sung in Spanish or English, or a combination of both. The optional second vocal part in the refrain combines energetic eighth notes in one part with sustained lines in the other. If you have Spanish speakers in your choir or want to teach about another culture, this is the perfect piece.
