Ronald A. Nelson

 

A native of Rockford, Illinois, Ronald A. Nelson was born April 29, 1927. He received his bachelor of music degree in 1949 from St. Olaf College, and his master’s degree in 1959 from the University of Wisconsin.

Between 1949 and 1955 he was director of music at two different Lutheran churches in Rockford, before being named Director of Music at Westwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He held that position for 37 years before retirement. He has since been named Cantor Emeritus and is also a choir member.
