Rob Glover

 

Rob Glover takes great joy in sharing his musical gifts as improviser, singer, guitarist, pianist, organist, accordionist, composer, arranger, recording artist, and conductor. He is known for his fine choral conducting skills and techniques as well as facilitating reflections and prayer. His publications include “Mass of Plenty”, “Shine on Us”, “The Honduras Alleluia”, “Peace Child”, “Ave Maria”, “Come and Eat This Living Bread”, “Spirit-Friend” and “Plenty Good Room”.He has also published Our Common Life: Reflections on Being a Spouse with his wife Mary; My Life Flows On, a CD with Elliot Wimbush; and two CDs from GIA, Round the Table and Music in the Air.

Rob’s master of music degree in Church Music is from the University of Minnesota with emphasis in choral conducting and organ and voice performance. His BS degree is in Music Education from Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Rob’s music vocation began in the Sioux Falls Diocese in his small parish and then in Newman Centers. He studied church music, organ, composition, and orchestration at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, for one year. Rob’s first church music position was in 1973, and has included churches in South Dakota, Florida, and Minnesota. He began employment in 1981, with the Church of St. Therese, a suburban parish of 1200 families. Rob received a Master of Music degree in Church Music from the University of Minnesota in 1987, and over the years has developed an excellent program of choirs ranging from age 3 to adults.
