What Wondrous Love Is This
Reproducible • The North American folk hymn, What Wondrous Love, was first published around 1838. Because of its textual theme of God’s Love, it is appropriate for any time of year, but especially during Lent and Holy Week. Karen Buckwalter has arranged this modal tune for a small ensemble of handbells or handchimes with piano accompaniment. An audio accompaniment track is also available if desired. This arrangement has an ethereal, peaceful quality which lifts up the quiet wonder and awe of God’s love.
