Here is a delightful and memorable arrangement of Martin Luther's great Christmas hymn tune VOM HIMMEL HOCH. Based on Luke 2, verses 9-12, it describes the angels' glorious visit to the shepherds to announce the birth of the Savior. Additionally, snippets of Handel's tune ANTIOCH ("Joy to the World") have been interspersed throughout to create an even more joyful Christmas celebration. Several contrasting variations of the tunes are given, using techniques including mallets, shaking and LV, along with the use of optional handchimes.
