CGB1093 I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say
Description
I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say is an expressive, emotional arrangement of the English folk song KINGSFOLD. The alternate title, O Sing a Song of Bethlehem. makes it perfect for Christmas or Lent, as well as most any time during the church year when emphasis is on the respite of Jesus' tender care. The optional use of handchimes in various sections, as well as malleted, suspended treble bells, create soothing variety in sound. The final section illustrates the text of the last stanza of the hymn as it boldly proclaims "and in that Light of life I'll walk, till all my journey's done." Choirs are offered the option to conclude the work strongly or softly.
