Written for Cathedral Bells and dedicated to their former director Ramona Miller, this carol setting explodes with color and panache and never lets up! The beloved Christmas melody is set in a dancing 6/8 meter with buoyant flourishes, in which the handbells sound full like an orchestra! The third stanza has been replaced with an extended "bridge" that sparkles with joy as it grows in volume, leading into the final triumph: "He rules the world with truth and grace".
