Robert Robinson’s hymn text is given fresh treatment from Marianne Forman in this joy-filled anthem for mixed voices. Featuring Forman’s original melody and a sparkling piano accompaniment, the theological text-painting in this piece is outstanding: stanzas 1 and 3 provide a strong, confident tone as we sing of God’s blessings and our response of praise; and a contrasting middle section exudes with warmth and safety as the choir reflects on God’s redemptive work in stanza 2.
