Composer Layton De Vries died at the age of 24 as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Layton wrote Child of God during the last few years of his life. Everything about this piece will appeal to youth and adult choirs: its text, melody, harmonies, and piano accompaniment. The meaningful text and beautiful melody have been skillfully arranged by Dale Grotenhuis. Child of God is perfect for any time of the year, but will fit especially well in graduations, confirmation services, and baptisms. Recording performed by the Dordt College Choir.
