Celebrating Women's History Month

By Katie Houts on 3/3/2026

Beginning with our founders, Ruth Krehbiel Jacobs and Helen Kemp, Choristers Guild has long been a champion of women in music. Innovative, creative women like Madeline Bridges, Rebecca Thompson, Andrea Baxter, Heather Potter, Karol Kimmell, Amanda Page Smith, and Emily Floyd have led the way in developing our one-of-a-kind Choristers Guild Institute. From board presidents and executive directors to editors and staff, so many women have faithfully contributed to Choristers Guild’s legacy and mission for over 75 years.

Our choral releases regularly highlight the brilliant work of contemporary female composers and poets. I’m pleased to spotlight a few favorite spring/Easter anthems, with gratitude for these women and the gifts they share with all of us.
