R. G. Huff


R.G. Huff is recently semi-retired from music ministry in local churches in Texas, Colorado, Missouri and North Carolina, most recently serving University Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A native of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, he graduated from Carson Newman College with a major in Biblical Sudies and minors in Music and Art. He holds a Master of Church Music from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

R. G. directs DBU's the Handbell Ensemble, University Ringers. He is a published lyricist and composer and has written extensively for professional magazines. His hymn text Fill the Earth With Music appears in several hymnals and collections. In addition to teaching at Dallas Baptist University, he teaches in the Navarro College system. He is also the creative director of Waxahachie's Old Fashioned Singing Project and maintains worshipRx.com, a resource site for planning traditional worship. He is an active member of First Baptist Church in Waxahachie.
