Peterson is Minister of Muisc/Composer in Residence at Auburn
First Baptist Church, Auburn, Alabama. Dale was born in Louisville,
Kentucky in 1948 and is married with two adult sons, Travis and
Tyler.
He holds a BA
in Music from Kentucky Southern College of the University of Louisville
and an MM in Theory from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, University
of Cincinnati with additional PH.D work at the University of Cincinnati.
Dale has been a recipient of ASCAP award for the past 20 years and
is a member of ASCAP, ACDA, Choristers Guild, Baptist Church Conference
and the Hymn Society of America.
Dale's hobbies
include ham radio, gardening, and baking.
His recent compositions
include Christmas Is a Time for Singing (Shawnee, 2006);
Have You Heard (Shawnee, 2006); My Jesus, I Love Thee
(Shawnee Press, 2006), This is the Day (Shawnee Press,
2005); Advent Prayer (Lorenz, 2005) and Silent Night
(BriLee, 2005). Additional compositions are published by Beckenhorst
Press, Choristers Guild, Mark Foster and Hinshaw Music.
