Membership
Policies
- A Membership
listed as an organization and a Membership listed as an individual
have the same benefits. Membership/Organization and Membership/Individual
is used only to identify mailing address for processing of mailer
data.
- The Choristers
Guild Membership system requires that memberships for an organization
be listed with a name or department (i.e. the person or department
at the church or school who is to receive the materials).
If no name or preference is provided, the membership will be listed
as "Music Ministry" (for a church) or "Music Department"
(for a school or other organization).
Conference
and Event Registrations
- A membership
is required for registration at member-rates for any Choristers
Guild sponsored workshop or event that requires a registration
fee. One registrant per organization may attend at member-rates.
Additional registrants will be required to pay non-member rates
and will receive a one year membership as part of their registration.
- Persons who
work for the same organization and reside at the same residence
may share membership privileges to attend Choristers Guild and
Choristers Guild chapter events at member rates.
- Choristers
Guild chapters may elect to charge member and non-member rates
for their events. The non-member registration for a chapter sponsored
event will not include a membership in Choristers Guild or the
chapter.
Awards
Ordering and Access to Members ONLY area
- Selected
Awards and access to the Members ONLY section of the website may
be shared by all those within the church or school identified
as a member (regardless of actual mailing address).
i.e. Mary Smith is a member of Choristers Guild, her materials
are sent to her home address and her church is identified as First
Any Denomination Church, Any City, State or Country. The identified
church may order awards (using the membership number linked to
the membership going to Mary's home address) or access the Members
ONLY area. Since User Name and Password for the Members ONLY area
is available only through The Chorister, Mary must provide
this information to any non-member at her church in order for
them to access this area of the Choristers Guild website.
Privacy
Policies
- Occasionally
we are asked to rent, for one time use, mailing information for
members of Choristers Guild to Outisde Groups or Organizations.
It is our policy to extend this offer only to organizations that
can provide additional services and resources for our membership.
If a member does not want their mailing address distributed for
sale or rent, we will mark the account "no rent" in
order to honor the member's request. Libraries of accredited colleges
and universities are automatically excluded from this list.
- Mailing Address
information for members is made available to Chapters of Choristers
Guild for Chapter use only. Libraries of accredited colleges and
universities are automatically excluded from this list.
- Email Addresses
are never distributed to any group other than Chapters of Choristers
Guild. If a member has requested that their email address be excluded
from any group emails from the Choristers Guild office, the email
address is also excluded from distribution to the Choristers Guild
Chapters.
- Credit card
information is not entered in the member or customer record to
protect this information from possible hackers. Printed records
containing Credit Card Information are shredded when removed from
physical files for disposal.
- Firewall
protection — Choristers Guild maintains firewall protection
to protect all information from possible hackers.
- Secure Site
— Choristers Guild maintains a Secure Site License for all
transactions that take place through the Choristers Guild website.
