Guild Institute at Louisville Seminary where a week-long symposium
will be held each summer.
LEARN
to creatively
integrate young singers into worship, vitalize your rehearsal techniques
and pedagogical skills, energize young singers, sharpen conducting
and choral skills and organize effective music ministries.
IMPLEMENT
the skills gained
through the institute in your choirs annual feedback from the institute
faculty.
MASTER
the core curriculum
and complete three summer sessions to receive Choristers Guild Institute
Certification.
WHO
SHOULD ATTEND?
The Institute
is designed for Directors who are currently leading young singers,
K-8, in a Christian church or school setting and those preparing
to be full-time, part-time, or committed volunteer leaders in these
settings.
A degree in
music education is not required, but musical literacy is fundamental
to success as a participant in the Choristers Guild Institute.
LEADERSHIP
A distinguished
group of faculty will lead courses on a variety of topics throughout
the week. You will not want to miss personalized study with this
group of scholars including Anton Armstrong, Helen Kemp, Madeline
Bridges, C. Michael Hawn, Rebecca Thompson and Claudio Carvalhaes.

INFORMATION
Fees
- Choristers
Guild Members – $550
- Non-Members
– $615 (Non-Member fee includes one year Choristers Guild
membership.)
- $100 non-refundable
deposit due at time of registration, no later than May
15, 2009; balance due July 1, 2009
Meals
- Two formal
dinners and one closing lunch included with registration.
- Breakfast
and lunch available in the seminary dining hall for a minimal
cost.
Lodging
- At Laws
Lodge on Louisville Seminary campus for $64 per night. Reserve
your room early to ensure discounted rate and availability by

- Participants
are responsible for securing their own housing.

Letter
of Support

of support from a supervising pastor or staff person is required
by all registrants

Education Units (CEUs)
- 3 CEUs available
through Louisville Seminary at no additional cost.
- Registrants
will receive additional information from the seminary no later
than May 2009 on the details needed to obtain the certificate,
which will be distributed upon completion of the courses.
