Hruby,
composer, died March 29, 2008 at the age of 84 after a 16 year bout
with cancer.
A child prodigy
on piano, Dolores grew up knowing that music would be a driving
force in her life.
She completed
a bachelor's degree in music at the American Conservatory of Music
where she studied under Leo Sowerby, and completed a master's degree
at Michigan State University.
Dolores received
the Alleluia Award from the Grand Rapids Diocese, MSU's
Spotlight on a Michigan Composer award and the American
Guild of Organist's Composer of the Year award in 2007.
