Naomi King Walker

 


 
Naomi King Walker has served Immanuel Baptist Church, Frankfort, KY as Music/Worship Pastor since 1995. Prior to coming to Frankfort, she served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Vienna, GA for 14 years and as Associate Minister of Music at Lyndon Baptist Church, Louisville, KY for 9 years (during her seminary studies).
 
Dr. Walker earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Shorter College, Rome, GA, and her Master of Church Music and Doctor of Music Ministry degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY.
 
In 2013, Dr. Walker was 1st place winner (unison/2-part anthem division) for "Counterpoint," a composition contest sponsored by Polyphony: Fellowship of Pastoral Musicians. Throughout her music ministry, she has frequently assumed leadership roles in statewide church music festivals and conferences, and has been published by Morningstar, The Church Musician, Baptists Today, Ethics Daily and Baptists News Global, among other publishers. Her passion is helping people of all ages develop and use their innate musical, dramatic and artistic talents in worship and ministry.
