Information
on the use of Choristers Guild copyrights
Those
who wish to photocopy out-of-print publications or make use of our
copyrighted music for recordings, arranging, video soundtracks and/or
performing must submit the request to our copyright department.
At Choristers Guild we routinely issue permissions and licenses
allowing the use of the music we publish. For a complete explanation
concerning the use of copyrighted items, including a list of frequently

Print
license
Permission to
reproduce or republish any portion in any form by any means must
be obtained in writing. We require a special notice be placed in
all copies made indicating that the photocopies have been authorized
by Choristers Guild. A request for permission to use must include:
- Title
- Composer/Arranger
- Catalog Number
- Number of
copies needed
- Intended
Use
- Your physical
mailing address
Mechanical
license
Those
who wish to record our copyrighted publications must obtain a compulsory
license. A letter of intent must reach us before or within thirty
days after making, and before distributing any recordings, and must
include:
- Title
- Composer/Arranger
- Catalog Number
- Length of
piece (minutes)
- Number of
recordings
- Intended
