Southwest Chicago Chapter
Festival 2007 The South West Chicago Chapter of Choristers Guild, held: Dance For the Lord Like Children, a Festival on November 2nd and 3rd. Our clinicians were Sid Davis and Mitzi Scott from St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Houston Texas. We shared our day with 45 6th-12th graders and 108 3rd-5th graders! After rehearsing and sharing a meal and snacks, we enjoyed a concert where we sang individually, as groups, and combined to sing 2 pieces, one of them being an unpublished piece by Kinley Lange, titled: Dance For the Lord Like Children, our Festival's namesake. The audience was thrilled to see so many children and youth singing together. The kids loved our clinicians and even after a long day of rehearsals wanted to sing more during the reception that followed. Our Chapter is alive and doing fine! For anyone looking for good clinicians, we would highly recommend Sid and Mitzi. They work sooo well as a team and the kids responded to their upbeat, loving styles.
