Information and Fees


You may register online for the Choristers Guild Institute by clicking the "Register" button on the Main Institute Page.   First year participants are required to submit a Letter of Support from a supervising Pastor or staff member.  A sample letter is available here

2017 Fees

Early Bird Registration (Years 1, 2, or 3) (Before Feburary 28, 2017):

  • Choristers Guild Members - $100 Nonrefundable Deposit + $500 Program Fee = (TOTAL $600)
  • Non-Members - $100 Nonrefundable Deposit + $500 Program Fee + $78 1-Year Choristers Guild Membership (TOTAL $678)

     

Regular Registration (Years 1, 2, or 3):

  • Choristers Guild Members - $100 Nonrefundable Deposit+ $550 Program Fee = (TOTAL $650)
  • Non-Members - $100 Nonrefundable Deposit + $550 Program Fee + $78 1-Year Choristers Guild Membership (TOTAL $728)

     

Alumni Registration (with active Choristers Guild Membership):

  • $100 Nonrefundable Deposit + $350 Program Fee ($300 Early Bird) = $450 ($400 Early Bird before 2/28/2017)

 

Scholarship Opportunities

A number of partial scholarships (amounts vary, but are generally between $200 and $500) are available for attendees at the Choristers Guild Institute. Visit the Choristers Guild Scholarship Page for more information.

 

Meals and Lodging

Institute Participants will stay in 4-bedroom/4-bath with shared living room apartment-style housing on the Wingate University campus.  The 6-Night lodging package cost is $275 for the 2017 Institute.  Each apartment contains a washer and dryer and has a large kitchen area with a refrigerator and a microwave oven.

Linens (sheets, blanket, towels, bed pillow) are not included. Towels and a pillow are available for an additional $15 fee for those traveling by air.  Everyone (driving or flying) needs to bring regular twin sheets and a blanket.

Meals will be taken in the Wingate University cafeteria, with the exception of the catered Helen Kemp Dinner and lecture event.  Because conversation and interaction at meals is an integral part of the Institute experience, participants must purchase either:

  • Full Meal Plan (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner beginning with Sunday dinner and concluding with Saturday breakfast) for $210

or

  • Lunch/Dinner Only Meal Plan (Lunch and Dinner only beginning with Sunday dinner and concluding with Friday dinner) for $180

     

The Helen Kemp Banquet is included in both meal plan costs.

Additional guests wishing to purchase tickets for the Helen Kemp Banquet and Lecture may do so for a cost of $30 each.  Please contact the Institute registrar at registrar@mailcg.org to make arrangements.

 

Total Costs for 2017

TOTAL COST for 6 nights/ 2 meals a day / program fee  EARLY   =   $1055 (275+180+600)

TOTAL COST for 6 nights/ 2 meals a day / program fee  REGULAR   =   $1105 (275+180+650)

 
TOTAL COST for 6 nights/ 3 meals a day / program fee EARLY   =   $1085 (275+210+600)

TOTAL COST for 6 nights/ 3 meals a day / program fee REGULAR   =  $1135 (275+210+650)

Please remember that you'll need to add $78 for a Choristers Guild membership if you are not currently an active member.


Location

The 2017 Institute will again be held at Wingate University, 30 miles east of Charlotte, NC.  Fly into Charlotte Douglas International Airport – Airport Code CLT).  For transportation options to Wingate University, contact local cab companies (you may be able to share with other participants). Rental cars are also a good option.
